Staying Grounded
from Beautiful Movements added 27 October, 2009 at 06:50 AM

Keeping your feet on the ground is what keeps a clear head on your shoulders. When you pursue your dreams many situations arise that require you to use your brain and make calculated decisions. The only way to learn your way is to make mistakes and through the lessons you grow. There are times when i feel like I am continually falling on my face but because of those down times I am able to adopt a process that helps me make decisions with ease. Just have to keep moving forward.
Other peoples manipulation is a hard lesson to learn and understand. Not everyone lives from truth and honesty. Some use manipulation as a tool to get what they want. We can't change people. Instead its up to you to remain solid in your values and beliefs. When a situation arises that you don't trust its your responsibility to either make change and find comfort in your surroundings or move on.
Staying grounded is the only way to have a clear vision of what you want. Accomplishing our goals and dreams may take longer by being a pure and honest person but the rewards are much greater. Allow yourself to be wrong, listen to others, and accept advise. When you feel you are in your head when someone is having a conversation with you, acknowledge it and stop. Listen to the people around you. You can't do anything half as good alone as you can with a beautiful team around you. Be aware of your surroundings and choose the characters of your fairy-tale wisely.
"People don't hold the secrets to success and happiness, you do."

The light turns the indifferent wall into a ghostly theater of reflections. I find myself in the middle of an eye, watching myself in its blank stare. The moment scatters. Motionless, I stay and go: I am a pause.~
To me, being grounded means being fully present: physically, emotionally and energetically.
It means your mind is not wandering or pulling your energy elsewhere. Your heart and soul are not searching somewhere in the past or looking into the future. (Take a deep breath ... there, you're grounded!) Being fully present is life. It's the alchemy of thousands of processes on a cellular level; it's a miracle every millisecond. To be present in the moment is as easy as breathing, and it's an act of power to be aware of it.
We all have the power to do that every moment of the day. When we stay grounded, we do not create chaotic reactions around us. We can laugh and not take ourselves so seriously.

Very beautiful ...

Very beautiful words ...
"You have all the tools you need to be the best person you can be! Although we reach times of fear and doubt in ourselves and in our future we have to remember that we were only given this one life and we choose whether or not we "get it right". By choosing negative feelings and turning our back on ourselves we ultimately give up on the fruits of life. But we are the creators of our own realities and we decide whether we will make it or not... Sometimes it helps to have a friends let you know that everything is going to be okay. So I stopped in to let you know "everything is going to be okay. You deserve the life you want and you can attain it. I believe in you." xoxo"

Totally agree... Sometimes is hard to move forward and not give up but is believing in the rewards that I always try to give to myself a second chance... all the time plp try to put me down and make me believe that my dreams won't come true... to me, it's pretty hard to move on when I have a lot of plp against me ( while they should support me ) ... it's the time that I need to believe in myself to prove that I can do and I will do although some plp keep not believing that I can.. staying grounded, as you said !! Of course that I can fall and fall again but it's important never give up, in every fall I learn something new, and it will be important to help me on the next step, till I get there... I believe that things happen in the right time and while this time doesn't come, I should learn with my mistakes and just keep moving forward .... always dreaming and believing !!

i used to play into a Fender twin reverb that only had a 2 prong A.C. cord.. needless to say, i wasn't grounded..i'd get electric shocks all the time playing guitar through it..especially when touching microphone stands..
joke aside..
i used to be manipulated easily when i was young. yes..experience did help but what helps the most is to have some good common sense and very important.. choose good friends..
you can't choose your family, but you can choose your friends
stay wise my friends..

~Between going and staying the day wavers,
in love with its own transparency.
The circular afternoon is now a bay
where the world in stillness rocks.
All is visible and all elusive,
all is near and can't be touched.
Paper, book, pencil, glass,
rest in the shade of their names.
Time throbbing in my temples repeats
the same unchanging syllable of blood.
The light turns the indifferent wall
into a ghostly theater of reflections.
I find myself in the middle of an eye,
watching myself in its blank stare.
The moment scatters. Motionless,
I stay and go: I am a pause.~

"Allow yourself to be wrong, listen to others, and accept advise." Accidentally i'm experiencing those things in my daily routine. i admit that i hate myself when i'm doin wrong or when i failed in achieving something. but when i keep stayin grounded and starts to think rationally, diminished all the negative thinking then the actual guideline will come in its own way.then i tried to listen to my surrounding, despite sometimes it hurts too much in avowing the truth. take it easy, but take it. i'm glad i have all da support. my fam, buddies, this beloved BMfam n YOU. u know whats the best advice i've ever had in my life that totally raised me up?
