When your peace of mind shatters without material wealth, love, possessions, and a certain kind of lifestyle you know you are too dependant upon outside forces for your own personal inner happiness. Attachments are the seeds of karma. "I often wish I could make changes in my life that would then effect the world in a positive manner making it the World I think it should be -- how ignorant and unrealistic."
*Focus on fixing your own mind.
The cycle of desire is constantly reaching for new objects of desire everytime we attain one.
Rid yourself of thoughts of attachements to find inner peace - "I need nothing to attain happiness even though I'm constantly trying to believe somethign quite opposite. Insecurities of not being wanted tend to make me feel like I'm drowning in self-pitty."
Making plans for what I feel is "Right":
"By becoming aware of our minds we have the ability to make changes."
