Religion?

You call yourself a spiritual/religious person yet the choices you make are pure evil. You dwell in breaking others spirits because misery loves company. But I won’t let you get the best of me. My role in life was chosen for me, it is my bigger purpose and I have much responsibility that goes along with it. I have a gift. My truth and honesty moves people and the bigger picture means I can move mountains. I know my purpose in life is huge. I know my role is a stepping-stone for what’s to come and in the big scheme of things is a true blessing. I’m not hungry for fame, connection yes but fame no.

I’ve learned many lessons through self-perseverance. I know that the work on ourselves is one of the most important jobs we have. We owe it to ourselves. Whatever we leave not fixed becomes poison in our lives and then becomes the person that we are. Our choices create our character. Who do you want to be?

Flaws become our differences. The way we embrace them is what confidence becomes. When we live from a rotten core, too blind to see the light of day, we isolate ourselves from everything real, normal, and beautiful life has to offer. Not one person in this world is “perfect”. I may feel broken from time to time but I always do my best. When others feel broken I do my best to have compassion and when it calls for it, empathy.

Nobody’s actions in life are personal. Everything is based from our own perceptions. We create our own realities. We hold on to situations and judge them from what it makes us feel. There are sad people in this world. You can’t save them, only they can save themselves. But we can use the situations and feelings they stir in us to propel us to a better future.

I came to the conclusion that love and compassion is my religion a couple of years ago. As I see strong believers in a faith around me make less then what I perceive as moral choices, I grow further and further away from what truth I once tried to understand in them. The only control we have in life is control over ourselves and the only way to change people is to lead by example. To be the example of happiness you must stand your ground and always act on your truth and honesty.

The people around us are the key to knowledge. By being the observers in our own lives we can take lessons home with us every night. Some people lead by a good example others lead by negative choice driven by manipulation, greed and ego. By being aware of all that goes on in our own worlds we have the choice to create our own life. We create our own set of beliefs through our own religion. Does it make a difference what religion we follow? Isn’t the basic idea of religion a guideline to leading a happy life? Then why do people of faith look down upon people that ask questions? I understand believing in something much bigger then we are but in what way does a person of lesser understanding for the bible become unworthy?

religion is something that supposedly makes us feel better and gives us the bases we need for living...

dunno if i'm wrong but this site is like a religion for m... i love learning how to live like this... so i would say this is my religion... maybe a mix of other religion but the most important, a mix of us, our dreams, our believes, our fears, everything... <3

Personally i think religion shouldn't be named, but they are...What hurts me the most is to see how divided it makes us all...we were made from the same thing, we all thrive for the same till the end of our lives:Happiness...

Character brings happiness, forgivingness brings happines, believing in better actions brings happiness...those should be the so called "religion"...

I lived 5 years of my life inside of a church who kept telling me to jugde people who didnt have the same beliefs, to let those people think that I was better than they were because i was in a church, because i carried a bible and lived by it ...but let me tell you what...I was never happy, always felt inferior to those up there preaching...they created an image that they were the perfect example....and to what??? To cheat on their wifes, husbands, friends and the worst of all to God... i believe religion is character, I love God with all my heart, but i dont believe in the systems of the church anymore...there are some wonderful people in the world that try to make the world a better place, and that should be enough...if i believe that what i do brings happines to me, and in the process I can help someone else, that should be religion....

STOP judgement...STOP hate...STOP selfishness and there you have religion...

to me, religion is the thing less important in a person, I think that  what really matters is what you believe and how u make the others feel.

sometimes, I see people really "religious" but make others feel sad all the time :S

I try to keep my head high always, but sometimes it's hard, you know?! It's like my hope almost come to an end....and I don't know how to act...I even can't sleep very well... :S
But I feel that I'm not alone, that someone most lighted is with me and I don't loose my hope :)

'Faith Fits Karma So Use It'  Thought these lyrics were quite relevant to your blog.

I believe in a higher being...but i don't believe in calling it 'God'  x
